Two years ago this month I had my introductory flight with Carroll. Since then I was trained by Carroll and have been flying my own PPC. Today my son completed his solo flight in a PPC with Carroll’s training.
I highly recommend Carroll to anyone considering getting involved in Powered Parachutes. Thank You Carroll !!!

Special thanks to Carroll for sticking with myself and the other 3 guys and pushing so hard to get us all trained and licenced to fly PPC’s.He is a great instructor and a very nice guy. He does what he says he is going to and really pushes hard to keep aviation alive with powered parachutes. If you want to fly ppc’s,Carroll is the guy to see….

I am a Light Sport Pilot (formerly Private) transitioning to PPC. It took multiple trips to NH but thanks to Carroll’s instruction and upgrades to my 90’s vintage Buckeye I finally got it into the air this spring. The photo is over Carver, MA south of Plymouth MA airport (the sister airport of NH).

Last weekend Carroll took my wife, mother and myself up for some sightseeing. He was very thorough in explaining the mechanics of the craft, of PPG flight, and of setting expectations about the flights. He is a good instructor, an excellent (and careful) pilot, and an all around nice guy. We flew both high and low around the Plymouth, NH airport with beautiful views of the surrounding White Mountains. I got some great photos. Thanks to Carroll for showing us a good time. I would definitely recommend visiting and meeting him if you are considering taking instruction or just sightseeing.

My grandfather John is a WWII bomber pilot veteran, and was in the 8th air force. John was based in England, flew in the European Theatre and all his missions were in Germany. He piloted B17 and B24 bomber planes and flew in a total of 14 missions in the B17 bomber, and 16 missions in the B24 bomber. He was involved in missions on D-day and the Battle of the Bulge. Even though he is haunted by the memories of the war, his one real passion has always been to fly. John had the wonderful opportunity to experience again his love of the air when Carroll took him up in his paraplane back in August. It meant so much to John for Carroll to take him up. He still talks about his experience to everybody and how thankful he is to have had such a wonderful opportunity.
“It was a lot of fun, and it was such a safe unit. I felt so safe and Carroll was a great pilot. It felt like I was back sitting in my B24 bomber again. I really enjoyed it and am so thankful to have been able to go up in his plane.” – John WWII bomber pilot veteran

Wednesday afternoon was a gorgeous day to leave work early and go flying, so AirBoss Carroll and Pauline and I decided to take a flight from Windswept airport in Windsor up to view the huge windmills in Lempster. It was a beautiful flight, very light breeze, beautiful scenery, and quite cold with all three of us shivering a bit for a while.A great 1 hour flight for both planes and we look forward to going again soon.Pauline and Tom

What a great experience to fly with Carroll! He invited me to go, knowing I would love it, and I was not disappointed; made for fun discussion with my wife about whether we should get into the sport ourselves…hopefully soon Carroll will put me through training, help me get my own plane, and we can fly together!

Carroll, Thank you for coming up to the to late to notify canceled flyin Had a good time with you even though we only got to fly once. Really glad we were able to get your PPC items adjusted or straightened out for the most part. I just wish I could have flown the PPC more to get it perfect. Who knows though, it may be now. PLEASE FLY IT BY YOUR SELF FIRST. TO FIND OUT JUST HOW IT IS NOW FLYING AND LET ME KNOW. I’m glad you were able to get Bill recertified with his biannual. It is the right way to go. Talk to you later and think calm skies. Gary

Just wondering what events might be planned for 2015 at the Plymouth Municipal Airport. I’m marking my calendar for the flying season !!

    • Chutes Up (9 years)

      Hi Bill,
Below is a note we received from Perry:
      ————————————-
      Hey gang!

Each year we get together sometime before the snow melts to plan the season’s flying events for our club, and we would like to do that again this year. As has become a bit of a tradition, we’re going to once again meet at the Windmill Restaurant in Concord, NH (172 Loudon Road), on Friday, April 10th, at 6:30 p.m. for food and flying planning. Everyone will be on the hook for their own dinners, as this will not be a club-sponsored event, but the choices are reasonably priced, and you don’t have to order anything, either, if you would prefer to just come for the meeting itself.

In order to make reservations and let the restaurant know how many people they can expect, please RSVP by next Monday the 30th by simply replying yes or no to this email, with how many from your party will be attending. If I do not hear from you, I will assume you are not coming.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and planning out some great events for this coming flying season!

      Blue skies,

      Perry

    Nice looking site
    Couple suggestions
    1. Put the Leave a Reply pane at the top of the page so up dont have go looking for it at the bottom of the page. Maybe rename it New Post
    2. Reconstruct the posts so there is a link to ‘reply’ to a particular post so conversations can start, At the moment all posts are serial and disjointed
    3. I cant change my password in my profile because only one password box is exposed.

    Love & Kisses

    BobM

    • Chutes Up (10 years)

      Hi Bob,

I have upgraded your account so you can also put out your own posts as well and not worry about where the “replies” are. At some point very soon we are going to expand this site big time, using more very fun and exciting tools! We’re always looking for suggestions and improvements! Right now you can feel free to talk PPC!

      Thanks!

    Hey Carroll;
You have created here, without a doubt, a very informative, complete, easy to navigate, and otherwise, great website. I have visited it often, have seen improvements made and other than the store still being in a teasing “demo only” mode, this site is well done. The content is interesting, fresh, and makes me ready for warm days with light breezes, so we can all get back in the skies we love to be in. Yourself, Maxie, and whoever else has had a hand in this sites construction deserves an A+.

    We will see you soon
    Pauline and Tornado Tom

Here is the video of my son’s solo flight at Plymouth Municipal Airport. Thanks to Carroll for everything.
